Before joining Eliatra, Lucas worked as an RPA Developer at Utmost Group in Dublin from June 2023 to March 2024. In this role, he developed automation software to ensure the efficient processing of high-value transactions, communicated with large volumes of customers, and conducted automated, errorless audits. Lucas also has experience in academia, having worked part-time at Maynooth University from February 2021 to July 2022. As an Administrative Assistant, he managed the university's Postgraduate Department social media and collaborated with the Marketing Department on advertising campaigns for new courses. Additionally, he served as a Student Representative from October 2020 to February 2021, liaising with university administration on behalf of students. Lucas recently gave his first-ever talk as a junior engineer at OpenSearchCon Europe, discussing the opportunities presented by RAG and search applications in the use of machine learning and GAI pipelines. He found it an incredibly humbling experience to speak about exciting technologies that are new both to him and the search community at large.
